Sail the seas, defeat evil cat pirates and help Captain Woofers and his friends take back their home island by upgrading your ship and finding better equipment!
This action-RPG was made for my first-term exam. The constraints of this project included making the game in Windows Forms. We weren't allowed to use any kind of engine, so a large part of the process consisted of building all the engine infrastructure like handling GUI, physics, rendering and so on.
Despite being just a first-term project, the game was nominated for Dania's Game of the Year Award.

WebBackup

If you deal a lot with web servers like me, you might want a tool to automatically backup some of the files that get uploaded or dynamically saved on there. You might also want to make backups of a MySQL database. And if you're me, your webhost might now even allow an external tool to access the database, so this tool can also make a get request to a php-script, which then does the backup and saves it to the server. The profiles require FTP-passwords, so the profiles are encrypted.

Echo Cards

A flashcard app aimed at studying Japanese kanji and vocabulary using KanjiDamage. However, custom decks enable users to study anything by adding their own cards.
Visit
I've been studying Japanese for more than half a decade, and in that time, I've created countless small applets and gadgets to assist me in the study of vocabulary and the Chinese Characters used in the Japanese language.
Echo Cards is my latest creation. Compared to my previous projects, Echo Cards has more gamification, incorporates efficient spaced repitition, and allows users to create custom decks to memorize anything, not just Japanese.
The user gets XP when completing reviews - and is encouraged to take breaks by gaining more XP when rested - which assists in the spaced repitition. The user continously feels their progress with progressing level icons and deck icons, and customizable player icons, unlocked when leveling up.
A card, representing a piece of information the user needs to memorize, progresses through 6 stages as the user recalls them correctly. But whenever the user struggles to recall the card, it resets to the beginning, giving them another full round to recall it. And of course, cards in the lower piles are selected more frequently to allow the user more chances to memorize it.
While reviewing cards, the user gets continous feedback on their progress, and assistance to make their practice more efficient. The review page helps out by suggesting good times to add more cards to the deck, and provides a summary of a session's reviews, to focus on improvement.

The main screen allows you to choose a deck to study, and see information like your level and player icon.

Gitftp

I have a git repository of a web project, and I'm getting tired of manually copying files onto the FTP-server. So I downloaded a tool called git-ftp, which this app requires. It allows you to save the FTP-servers host and password info into the repository, and automatically deploy the current commit to that location. But it was still a bit lacking: First of all, I didn't like saving the password (probably in plain-text) in the repository config, and I needed multiple different branches to deploy to different locations on the server, and this tool only allowed for one directory to be saved. So here comes my gitftp utility. It is like a manager-interface for git-ftp. Profiles are encrypted, and the ftp-password is stored in there. It is only configurated in the repository while deployment is happening. The profiles then map a specific branch to a location on the server, and by saving the profiles next to the application, they can be easily dragged onto the executable to quickly execute those profiles.

Mealguide

A tool to keep track of food items and their nutritional value
Visit
For a long time, I wanted a tool to help me keep track of which foods I like to eat, and help me decide on what to make for dinner. But if this tool already has records for all the foods I like, why not also include nutrition information on the entries?
One thing lead to another, and before I knew it, I was making a full-scale calorie-counting app, with a food database, food logs, exercise logs, a measurement system and support for both imperial and metric units along with a large range of different currencies for tracking food costs.
Later, I also added support for keeping track of a grocery budget - it makes sense to plan while you make your dinner plan. This tool allows for automatic daily allowances, setting transactions to happen in the future or spreading them out over several days. It also gives a good overview of past transactions, as well as the monetary situation in the coming days or weeks.
MealGuide is a great tool both for deciding tonight's dinner, and making sure you can eat that brownie without exceeding your daily caloric goal.

Backdex

Some directories I want to easily copy and backup to another drive. I obviously can't do that with all my files, but if I were to lose a drive, I'd love to have a record of all the files I'd lost. This application does both. You run all the actions with a simple command, and important folders can be copied to other drives or other locations, while it can make an index file in a nice information-rich json format and distribute it to any other drive. The nature of the json-format allows it to be automatically compressed from 200 MB to 7 MB.

QuizBuzz

Players take turn to count a number, but must substitute certain numbers with a quiz answer.
Play
On Tom Scott's Game On, they showcased a game David Bodycombe had designed called "QuizBuzz". It's like the traditional FizzBuzz, where players take turn to count, and substitute each number that is a multiple of certain numbers with the phrases "Fizz" or "Buzz".
In this variation, the contestants must substitute the numbers by answers to a quiz prompt such as "A President of the United States".
The day before my friends and I went to Nordic Game Jam 2016, I decided to make a game we could play in the car, and this implementation of QuizBuzz was the result.
How to play:
Let a gamemaster hold the device, and enter the amount of players. Each time a player says a number, the gamemaster clicks the device. They can see the prompts, and if a player was supposed to substitute it by a quiz answer. If they get it wrong, let the timer run out. They will automatically be removed from the game, and new factors and quizzes will be chosen.
